The DeGennaro Trust was founded on a simple but deeply personal realization: the impact that time, mentorship, and opportunity can have on a child's life.
Growing up, I had limited involvement in organized youth sports. It wasn't until becoming a father to two sons that the true value of youth athletics became clear - not just as competition, but as a powerful vehicle for character development, confidence, teamwork, and community.
Through volunteering, coaching, and supporting local programs, what began as a way to be present for my children quickly evolved into a passion for mentoring young athletes and giving back to the broader community. The relationships formed, lessons taught, and growth witnessed - both on and off the field - sparked a commitment to invest time, resources, and leadership into youth development.
The DeGennaro Trust exists to support youth sports and enrichment programs that create opportunity, foster mentorship, and strengthen communities. We believe every child deserves access to positive role models, structured activities, and environments that encourage growth, resilience, and integrity.
